Continuous Improvement
Continually looking for enhancements that improve its steering and suspension parts is what sets MOOG® apart from the competition. MOOG engineers take pride in creating parts that deliver long-lasting performance and easy installation. This spirit of innovation can be seen in the enhanced design for MOOG’s hybrid sway bar links.
Challenging Installation
The design of the OE sway bar link results in a time-consuming repair. On the OE design, you have to disconnect the sway bar on both sides to complete the repair. Once you install one stud, you must rotate the sway bar and pry it up to get the other stud installed. By having to disconnect the sway bar on both sides, it adds on valuable time to removing the old sway bar link and installing the new part.
New MOOG Patented Design for Easier Installation & Superior Performance
MOOG engineers went to work on a design that would simplify the installation process. This updated application-specific design features a patented shoulder bolt and shank combination that only requires you to disconnect the side that is being replaced. The result of this new design is a repair process that takes significantly less time than installing the OE part. Installing the OE part can take up to 20 minutes. With MOOG’s updated design, all you need to do is insert the link in and it snaps into place on the sway bar. Then simply screw the bolt down and torque it.

The patented design has a unique positive stop-out feature with its shoulder bolt and shank combination. The bolt has an interference to the shank to stop out precisely. Once you have the bushing snapped into the washer and should bolt and torqued, the bushing is properly compressed for optimal performance.
