Enhancements to Hubs for 2004-2008 Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon

Making improvements to its components is a hallmark of MOOG® chassis parts. From enhancing performance to improving the OE design, the engineers at MOOG are constantly striving to enhance its parts.

This problem-solving spirt comes through in the enhanced design for the hub assembly for the 2004-2008 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. Taking feedback from the field, MOOG engineers made improvements to the hub assemblies for these compact trucks.

MOOG Hubs - Preventing Contamination

The design of the OE hub for the 2004-2008 Colorado/Canyon has an open cap that could be susceptible to water, dirt and other contaminants. If the hub becomes contaminated, it could result in an illuminated ABS light and a failure of the anti-lock brake system.

To resolve the issue, MOOG engineers went to work and designed a replacement hub assembly that has a sealed cap to keep dirt and debris out. By preventing contamination from getting into the hub it avoids issues with the ABS system and part failure.
